GOLDIES SUGAR CUTOUT COOKIES
Ingredients:
1 c brown sugar
1 c white sugar
1 c shortening
3 eggs, beaten
1 c buttermilk
1/2 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
4 - 5 c flour
Directions:
cream sugar and shortening. add eggs. add soda to buttermilk. add salt, baking powder vanilla. add flour to make soft dough. refrigerate till cold. roll out on floured surface and cut into shapes.
bake at 375 for 10-12 min.
Icing:
powdered sugar
little bit of vanilla
enough milk to make to consistency desired.
